Arches National Park contains more natural arches than
anywhere else in the world. At last count there were
over 2000 of the unique structures, carved out of the area's
soft Entrada sandstone. But on one of our tours, you'll
see so much more than just arches!
There are spires, and fins, and gigantic slabs of towering
rocks, which will amaze and awe.
And then there's the
Fiery Furnace
(pictured below), included in all our
shared Grand Canyon tours,
a three hour ranger-guided hike that may just be the most
inspiring, memorable and fun walk that you ever go on.
Our guests have enjoyed their trips through the
Fiery Furnace
so much, we've devoted a
whole page to it.
To be defined as an arch, a hole in the rock must be at least
three feet wide. The biggest arch at Arches is the
Landscape Arch which measures 306 feet, while there are
several that are in the formation stage. Delicate Arch,
Utah's best known landmark, presents a great hike of its own.
Arches Tours is a web site that should be seen along with our
three other sites covering this region:
Grand Canyon Tours,
Bryce Canyon Tours
and
Zion National Park Trips.
Utah's outdoor adventure capital,
Moab,
is literally only ten miles from Arches. You can rent a
mountain bike and ride the Slickrock Trail, the most famous
mountain bike trail in the world, or take a rafting trip down
the nearby Colorado River. Arches Tours can make all
these arrangements for you, as well as hotel reservations,
barbeques and plane trips.
There are four ways to visit Arches on one of our tours:
|
1:
We
are offering a shared tour from Salt Lake City to
Arches, Canyonlands and Moab, starting in the spring of
2005. Details can be found
here. |

2: You
can take in Arches as part of one of our
shared, multi day Grand Canyon
Tours that also visit the

Monument Valley,
Canyonlands,

Lake Powell and
Bryce Canyon. |
|
3:
We can design a multi day tour
just for you or your group, starting wherever you like, that takes in the above
destinations and more! |
|
4: A

Point State Park and
